I am not an overly political person, so when I was handed a class project to create a propaganda style poster I was a bit at a loss for what to use as my subject matter. I thought a lot about what I care about and what inspires me, and all of a sudden my subject became obvious – nature! I am so inspired by nature in my art and my life, so I decided to make my poster a tribute to Mother Nature. The 12x18” poster was laid out in Adobe Illustrator and then screen printed with a custom blended green ink, black ink, and a gloss overlay to highlight portions of the poster. This is one of my favorite pieces and served as inspiration for my Mother Nature watercolor/papercut fine art piece.
