Pork Wars
As a little kid I always wondered what the heck those storm troopers looked like under those awesome masks. How do I get a hold of one? A little further down the road of life I found myself wondering why cops are such dicks all the time? Were they born that way? Was it only exacerbated my inability to keep myself from cracking wise whenever in the presence of our untrusted servants? Most likely both. As the years passed and many Star Wars marathons were taken in, I made the connection between a mindless drone storm trooper whose will was controlled by a manipulative force and a mindless drone cop whose will was equally controlled by the manipulative force of protecting the American dream sold to us all through clever marketing slogans and colgate smiles. Now I had an idea what those goons looked like. I put that idea to pixel then vector here. First I created a photo collage in Photoshop made up of a UK cops hat, a severed pigs head, and a storm trooper helmet( I'm sure you figured that out, just needed some filler). I dragged that into Illustrator for a cell shading project that consumed quite a few hours and clicks of the divide/pathfinder tool. I then set the finished illustration against a backdrop of handstyles made with my scanner and brush pre-sets command. "Release your hate!"
